Proteomics 2008, a day of information and inspiration at Children's Hospital Boston
On March 28 of this year Children's Hospital Boston hosted
the third annual proteomics symposium: Proteomics 2008.
This full day symposium featured talks by Richard Caprioli,
Steven Gygi, AlanMarshall, Hanno Steen, Sasha Singh, Marc
Kirchner and John Yates. Richard Caprioli from Vanderbilt
University intrigued the 200C attendees with a fascinating
demonstration of tissue MALDI with his talk titled
''Molecular Imaging and Profiling of Tissue Sections Using
Mass Spectrometry: Applications in Biological and Clinical
Research''.
The presented analysis revealed a detailed
molecular map of brain tissue complete with compositional
and spatial arrangement of protein and lipids in the tissue
sections. more >> | (124kb)
